Whitney's Farm...

Whitney’s Inn began hosting guests in the 1930s. Prior to that it was called Moody Farm and sits on Moody Farm Road. The property was lacking that farm appeal and with the recent popularity of “farm to table”, we decided to bring that farm heritage back in 2021 and have renamed the property the Inn at Whitney’s Farm. First, we added an actual farm to the property with multiple sheds housing goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and our pet pig Remy! Whitney, our Great Pyrenees, resides on the farm and protects it from predators.

Farm to Table

We are currently creating pathways and signage for the farm and welcome guests to come visit when they stay with us. A small farmstand offers, goat products, meats, vegetables, gifts, eggs and other items. Our eggs are now served at breakfast. Some of our meats and vegetables will be served in the pub. Our guestrooms are also being made over with more farm décor and we are adding more gardens to our 12 acres. The Shovel Handle Pub is a post and beam barn originally used as a working barn at Moody Farm and is both a restaurant and wedding venue. We hope you come visit us at the Inn at Whitney’s Farm and experience this beautiful farm style setting!

3. Apres Ski
The time-tested tradition of grabbing a beer with your buds following a mountain session, is nearly as old as the sport of skiing itself. Back in the mid-1800s, a few snow bunnies in Telemark, Norway, discovered that a drink simply tasted better after taking a few turns down the slopes.  With live entertainment almost every day during the ski season, come to the Shovel Handle Pub and enjoy for your favorite beverage, rest those weary bones, and enjoy some great music!
4. NH Live Music Scene
The Shovel Handle Pub plays host to one of the best music scenes in New England. With live music most nights, we do our best to attract solo and duos acts from Maine, NH, and Vermont that are unique in their own way. Sit by the fire in our rustic post and beam barn and listen to indie, folk, rock, reggae, pop, country, and much more. Many of these artists have their own original tunes as well. As the beer starts to flow, don’t be surprised to hear yourself joining in on a rendition of “Sweet Caroline”!
